What is the Old Bridlingtonian's Club?
The OB Club, formed in 1903, is described by our
President, Mr Ian Sharpe to the right of this column.
In summary it is:
- An opportunity to meet old friends
- A fellowship allowing you to remember the
past
- An opportunity to support
the future of the school
Why do we have an Old Bridlingtonian's Club?
In 1903 the OB club was founded to allow old boys of the school
to keep in touch and support the school. The club now accepts members
from Bridlington School and the High School for Girls as well as
ex students of the school in its present form.
How does the club retain ties with the School?
The club is dedicated to retaining ties with the
school and supporting it, as it has throughout the past century.
The club and school
hold many joint events and support many others including:
- Prize Presentation Evening
- Remembrance Service
- School Concerts and Plays
- CCF Open Days
- Inter OB/School Competitions including an annual Chess Competition
What will the Old Bridlingtonian's Club give me?
- A chance to support the school
- A chance to make new friends or find lost friends
- An Annual Circular and Magazine
- Golf Competitions
- Reunions
- Informal Buffets
- Meetings
- Tours of the School
- and Much Much More...

Background
Welcome>>Background
"We hold regular reunions every year
both at Bridlington (December), as well as London (March),
Cambridge
(June), Sheffield
(October). There are also other functions during the year which
as a member you get notification.
Although the club was originally for Old Boys only, following the
amalgamation of Bridlington School and the High School for Girls,
our membership is now open to all ex pupils. For those still at
school there are contacts within the school in the persons of Alan
Fumagalli and Mark Colton who should be able to provide any information
about the Club.
The Club enables ex pupils to keep in contact with friends they
made at school and can also enable them to find people they have
lost contact with."
